I hope Steve will talk about the MacBooks, talking about how well it has sold, and then say something like "which is why, we will uppgrade both MacBook and MacBook Pro"
That would be funky.

Against the will of who? Read a history book...
The partitioning didn't go well though, the Palestinians weren't fond of the idea. Which created the mess there is today.
So Eraserhead, seems that we can credit your lovely nation, the UK, for the creation of Israel. Congrats!
The thing is no one ever consulted the people who lived there about creating this new and foreign state on their land and have people imported on ships from all over Europe to populate it. I remember reading somewhere that the partition was rejected by the Arabs because while the land was divided roughly 50/50, the Jews only owned ~10% of the land, and much of the prime land near the water was allocated for Israel.
Why would they have to kill them??
Kill them or drive them out, simply because if they merge the non-Jewish population would quickly outnumber the Jewish population. If it becomes a true democracy and these non-Jews are given voting rights, then the state will quickly lean towards an Arab state rather than a Jewish state due to greater Arab influence.

If anyone can pull off a great cell phone design (both hardware and software) it's Apple.
I checked out the new "Chocolate" phone...wasn't impressed personally.
I continue to hope this happens, but given my distaste concerning current cell phones I won't lose any sleep if this doesn't come to light for some time.

I continue to be amazed by the number of students at my community college that have iPhones. These are students who for the most part are struggling to make ends meet, yet were willing to spend their limited cash that way. There are at least two or three students with iPhones in each of my classes; two years ago, I didn't see any -- and mine was a curiosity to them.
well depends how things are paid for you might be less impressed.
I am a struggling college student but out side of school expenses my only other cost is gas for my car.
That means insurance and phone bill is covered by my parents that frees up a fair amount of resources to get smart phones and from others I talk to in school that is often times a big help parents give is covering cost other than school.
As for smart phones I know at were I go to school the phone that is common on campus depends which college you are in. If it is the computer science and Engineering then iPhone is in the minority. Android rules the roost followed by Blackberry. The iPhone in a class of 30 you will see 2 some times 3. By enlarge it is Android followed by blackberry. iPhone is in the small minority. WP7 I will see out numbering the iPhone soon.
Now if you go to the other building on that has education and business (along with art) rules change and iPhone becomes much more popular.
Now back to us SCE students area a lot of us own iPods and I know the iPads out number the iPhones but for a phone we just do not like iOS end of story. Android is were a lot of the students want to go for.

Oh oh, body piercing...
<hold hands over eyes>
Quick, think of .... accounting <no! tax cuts>... anything else... washing dishes <No! Knives>... Bowling <NO! Pins>.... ok, my LP collection <Aargh! turntable has a needle>
Ulp!
<covers mouth, runs broken-field pattern toward bathroom>
Ugh, that's exactly how I feel. Girls' ears=fine I guess (still not crazy about it). More than that, like a million in your ear, or huge wholes through your ear is pushing it too far. :( Yuck.

This entire thread breaks the NDA developers agree to when paying their membership. It's pathetic that some developers would do this just so they can feel cool by leaking the info. If you want access to the seeds or up-to-date info then pay the $500 (minimum) like the honest developers have to
From Apples agreement:
"Pre-release software is Apple Confidential information. Unauthorized distribution of pre-release software or disclosure of information relating to pre-release software (including the distribution of screen shots) may result in immediate termination of your ADC membership, and may subject you to both civil and criminal liability."

And Apple isn't litigious? What a joke? Apple is one of the more litigious tech companies out there. You compare them to Google, or IBM, or heck, even Microsoft recently, and they make them look like the Mother Teresa of patent generosity. Apple are as bad as Oracle, in my books.
Apple will sue anything left right and centre. Remember their patents on things like "multi-touch", or "touchscreen phones".
Victor, you say that, but where is the evidence. Sure they have ridiculous patents, but you have to do that the way the patent system is setup in the US. However, where has Apple used its patents offensively against anybody, except HTC, in the recent past? Can you provide some links?
Google is really good about not suing people. But MSFT? They just sued Barnes And Noble! in the past week.

And comparing to Oracle....hmm....
Seriously, you need to provide some evidence, for this litigious nature of Apple's.
Note: I am distinguishing between patent lawsuits and trademark infringement lawsuits. Trademarks can be lost if you don't actively defend them. Not the case for patents. So actually sending trademark infringement notices is a precondition to protecting them, which makes all companies (including Google) far more trigger happy with Trademark infringement based legal action.

I've never owned a slingbox, and remote viewing is a cool feature I'll use only occasionally, but I've been VERY happy with my EyeTV Hybrid and EyeTV 2 and 3 software. I'll be buying this app for sure--I'm just waiting to let the early adopters be the guinea pigs for Eye TV 3.2 :)

Shouldn't leaking trade secrets be some sort of civil contract violation, rather than a crime you can be arrested and jailed for?
You'd think the right thing to do would be to fire and fine them. What is putting them in jail going to accomplish?
Yes, this basically sounds like a civil matter to me (as I'm fairly certain in the US it would be) ... but this is China we're talking about.
No, you don't arrest people and put them in jail because of a dispute with their employer. You fire them and sue them.

Rogue runs a tied house here in the city, which of course carries mostly their beers, but also is required to carry Coors Light as a part of a deal they have with Coors to distribute for them. Last time I was there it was listed on the board as Coors "We Pity You" Light.
Oh, and Lee, I know a place that occasionally serves up a pretty awesome pomegranate cider. Just saying. ;)
Wow, I love Rogue. I don't think I have had one from them I didn't like. I'm also a fan of New Belgium. Normally, I'm a stout and porter kind of guy, but sometimes it's good to enjoy a good Rogue Dead Guy or Fat Tire.
I really hate my state's stupid beer laws. The cap on beer is 5%, which cuts out a lot of great beers. Thankfully, I have friends and relatives in other states where I can get said beers. :)

From the interview I got the feeling that the inside of the machine will be just the same as the current models.
Kinda like the black macbook is the same as the white macbook, but with a bigger hard drive.
You know what? It's just Microsoft just trying to turn a profit...I think this may have really been a bad move on Microsoft's part...Having multiple SKUs isn't a great idea either...I think Sony's got some brownie points for moving towards just one SKU, the "elite" 60 GB PS3.

It's great to hear so many young people are going to macworld, I'll be going next year for sure. Every one have a good time.
Oh, BTW, if products are announced as "ships today" then only flagship stores will have the products available immediately in-store right?

The most noteworthy point in the OP is the fact that GM makes big profits on SUVs, loses money on economy cars and breaks even on the Volt (if they are lucky).
No wonder the Big Three have been flooding the market withg Escalades, Yukons, Trailblazers, Explorers, Expeditions etc etc etc for years. They are cheap trucks with a big fat markup.

Urgh. I really hope this mentally isn't passed on. Mini iOS games versus multi million games with years in development...
Unless you're joking. I hope you're joking! It sounds like you're joking.
Sounds like he is serious.. j/k
seriously they should stream the downloads for $30 and they still make more profit that way.
