And suggesting, or even blatantly stating, that Beatles and Madonna have transcended music more than Bach is about as musically stupid as it comes. Bach not only wrote his own music (Madonna just drops into a studio every now and then), he could also conduct orchestras (the Beatles could do one thing individually; that's why they are called the Fab FOUR), his impact on developing Baroque music is unquestioned and his composition skills and musical knowledge have been admired by the likes of Mozart, Haydn, and Beethoven.

As a MBP owner who bought a rev1 model right when they came out -- and has been sending it in to fix its many, many problems constantly, and is now seeing it lag behind the iMacs in speed and power -- I feel like I bought a lemon. Thanks, Apple, for pissing in my face.
I feel the same way with my black MacBook, which is awaiting a DHL box. I guess there was something behind those who say they'll wait for Rev B, afterall :D .

I use to have an eReader. It was excellent for reading books in bed. Unfortunately, you couldn't read books in the bath, at the beach, in sunlight, or anywhere where you could drop it. Actually you could pretty much only read books in bed.

I think there was a quote from Mozart, who obviously didn't know the Beatles, who didn't rank Jesus very high as a composer, but who put Bach ahead of Beethoven.

Who the hell wants to watch movie on an iPod. You can't even watch 2 hours of video on the current iPod...think...the battery like will be even WORSE with a larger screen?!?!?:eek:
I want a merom macbook pro...right now!!!!:mad: I might buy a freeken dell if i have to wait any longer...and I hate windows... I am hoping they will update it on the website tomorrow...tues. sept. 5th....not likely though since they will need a new logic boards because they soldered the core duo chips in...how stupid. Hopefully they will make some other updates since they have to re-do stuff anyway.

Yup, most of the waste is for military technology and planes like the raptor that were built for cold-war style fighting. That era is dead. No offense intended, but that poster clearly has NO IDEA what the US uses its ridiculously large military budget for.
There's also the Airborne Laser, which was an utterly stupid idea. There's the virtual fence Boeing was paid to build to secure the US/Mexico border that never worked...

I have no problem with an individual wanting to help out someone who needs help. I DO have a problem with wanting your neighbor's son/daughter to do it FOR you, just because you feel it is the right thing to do. I assume you support the efforts of law enforcement to protect yourself and others from murders, thieves, etc. and yet you are not a police person.
I assume you are in favor of firemen who will keep your house from burning down if it ever catches fire. And yet you are not a fire man.
I am a citizen of this country I, pay taxes which pays for firemen, the police, drug research etc. etc.
These are all things that I believe in an yet I am not directly a part of them. Just because I believe in the current actions my country is undertaking in Libya does not mean that I must join the military to show my belief in the rightness of this operation.

There's no guns to switch, the jet pack is a total crap I'll just fly around and you can't shoot me and you can't kill me because there is no rocket launcher or laser. Am I missing something?
You can choose from any of the 4 or 5 different Loadouts at every spawn. Each comes with a different Armor Ability (Jet Pack, Sprint, Armor Lock, etc) and weapon set (DMR, Shotgun, Grenade Launcher, etc). Also, there are plenty of weapons still placed on the maps. Exactly! And not only video video tag support but the whole HTML5. Much faster and cleaner and ready to replace this flash crap. Good thing Apple is so large that they can actually transform whole markets.
I'd argue that it's not "ready." HTML5 is a working draft, and video tag codec support is still one of those items that is not entirely settled. I'm all for getting every browser to implement it and maybe even start using it after a specific browser/codec check, but fallback is still going to be flash for the time being.

Why so many negatives, I love 3D stuff when it's done correctly. Lots of fun in my opinion. Though I really doubt Apple would put a 3D screen on the iPad.
