I don't think it necessarily has to be touch-enabled, or come in form of any type of hardware.
I am using a lot of apps on my iPhone by now that I really miss on my MacBook... Sometimes I would really like to start one of these iOS Apps in Mac OS to check something quickly...
They should make some kind of iTunes-integrated Simulator that allows you to start your iOS Apps directly from your Apps section within iTunes or something...
That would be really nice ;)

Probably OK for everyday use, but impractical for computers used for image editing because of the smudges.

Also, the way I read this it seems like they're using a version from February at these demos. (Which makes sense that they wouldn't show off the absolute current version. Someone's probably been working on this presentation for awhile.) So what they showed really could be a version that has literally 4 or 5 more months of work going into it.
Don't forget that the feb version was probably an even earlier version to make sure that it all works seamlessly so we could be looking at a version that is early 2011 at the latest.
From all the tidbits of information flowing in I am getting very excited about this update and have already seen many hours that would have been saved if I had had the new version on previous projects I've done this year! It just keeps on getting better!

I would really like to see what the difference in size between the new nanos and old nanos is. if it really is 52% smaller, which doesn't look it from the picture, I will definitely consider picking one up. has anyone seen any side by side pictures of the new and old nano?

As I've stated before, No Way does Apple realease the updated MBPs before the iPad is released!

Hmmm, so I wonder what will the pricing be for those that don't jump to 5.5? Will 5 to 6 be priced the same as 5.5 to 6? What will be cheaper?
I looked at going from Master Collection CS 4 to CS 5.5, especially as I have a spare Mac license that I'd rather upgrade... that cost is $949.

Can you add movies to your library that are already on your HD?
I choose file > add to library and selected a bunch of AVI files and it just did nothing.

The competition hasn't learned that a huge portion of actual customers don't buy cell phones based on these kinds of hardware specs. And there's not enough money (bottom-line profit) in catering to those fewer customers who do care.
Your point? The competition can still sell the phone at the same or cheaper rate, with a better quality camera. Everyone benefits. If you don't like/use the camera phone, then don't use it. Not every feature on a phone people "need" or use.

This is surprising. I feel like if Apple does the voice integration into iOS well enough, it could be the future of iOS. Sort of like how multitouch got things started, voice will bring it even further. I bet there were tons of people out there who were doubting touchscreens on phones 4 years ago. Everyone still wanted a keyboard.

What's worse, it's more powerful than my dual G5 tower. And my machine is only 2 years old! Same with my 12" PowerBook. All in all, for what I paid for my PB, today for the same cash, I can buy a machine with 8x the computing power. Maybe if I wait another two years to upgrade, computing power would be 64x!! :)
Sad, isn't it? I also have a Dual G5 (2.0GHZ) and my new MBP C2D runs circles around it. But, it's still fast ebough for what I use it for, so no Mac Pro upgrade for me.

Beatles are not my generation so I don't know a lot about them..but weren't they into free spirits and happiness and what not? Why are they all about suing and being greedy now?

Two are alive and they have wives and kids and in one case grandkids. As a parent I would love to pass on what I created and/or earned to my son. Most parents would love to do this for their families if possible, whether it is a huge amount or a small amount. Again when you have created any business, large or small, it is the owners legal right and obligation to protect it and prosper. That is capitalism.
I work representing photographers and license the work they create and rarely sell it outright. This way my artists who create the work, can benefit from reusage sort of like a royalty.
It is so easy to go after the bands, actors and artists once they hit it big, but they would not make all of that money if there was not an audience for it.
